I think this might be a possible trade for the Reds. He is a power hitting righty that the Reds desperately need. Batting him 4 and moving BP up to bat second would provide a scarey lineup. The Angels will surely make us pay dearly for him though. I'd imagine a starting pitcher (Bailey) a solid prospect (Cingrani or Hamilton) and a couple throw-a-way guys... What do you think? Is Trumbo worth raping the farm system?

I wouldn't mind getting Trumbo. The guy is a beast. He can play 1B when we want to give Votto a day off, he can play the corner outfield. He would provide some much needed pop in the 4 spot as well.
I wouldn't mind giving up Bailey, Hamilton and a couple other guys.
He is much much much younger than Ludwick so that is a plus.
Hell, our system is already decimated, so what the hell, lets completely wipe it out!

Ya the farm is pretty much last in most offensive categories... So ya go for it. Also, I'd dump Bailey. Considering it isn't likely we will be able to lock him down long term it would be good to move him if we can get some value out of him. The Angels are really wanting starting pitching so I'd definitely think they'd be on board having Bailey.

Couldn't agree more...
Another name I have heard tossed around is Phillies 3B/1B Michael Young.
Thoughts on possibility of taking a flier on Michael Young?

Frazier does have quite a bit of time in left so I'd be in for that. We could platoon Frazier and Ludwick for awhile while Ludwick gets back into baseball shape.

I'm a no go on Michael Young, He just doesn't pass the eye ball test for me. As for Trumbo I say give them Bailey. The earlier post was right, he is in his last year of arbitration and we won't be able to afford him long term. The problem with that is pubic preception, the man did just through a no-hitter for your club, and the fact that Bronson's money will be coming off the books next year and you will have to find two starting pitchers now instead of one. Plus the way Cueto is on and off of the DL you might need to find three if you trade Bailey. I would be willing to give up Bailey and maybe one of the pitchers they drafted last couple of years. (Traveso, and another guy) I like Cingrani since he is the only starting pitcher we have that is close to the majors that is left handed.

Actually, I am looking at Aoki's numbers from the Brewers... I think it would he would be the ideal fit. He is a left handed batter but if you look at his numbers vs lefties and righties they are both good. Also, he can take over center and move Choo to left. Plus he is cheap 1.5 mill this year and a team option next year for 1.5 mill. I don't think Hamilton won't be ready for the majors so Aoki could be a solid guy for the winning now philosophy the Reds have adopted. I am not sure what the Brewers would ask for though...
I definitely agree with assassin about Cingrani. I'd really hate to trade him. Given our contract situations... 2014 is looking like a bad year for Reds pitching. Cueto needs to drop some lbs, Latos is on and off, Arroyo gone, Bailey gone, and Leake. Leake could be our new #1 if his awesomeness streak keeps on going.

There are 2 pitchers in our system that are untouchable for me...they are Cingrani and Stephenson (Single A Dayton). Peoples views become very cloudy just because a pitcher threw a no hitter. He still has yet to be the pitcher we thought he would become. He has dominating stuff but just doesnt trust it sometimes and that tends to bite him in the ass.
One thing we can all agree on is the fact that Cueto must drop weight and fast. His body has yet to adjust to the extra weight he has packed on.
As of now, our rotation for next season looks like this:
Cueto Latos Leake Bailey Cingrani
I can deal with that, but it is definitely going to be changing within the next year or two. Hell, that could change later this season with some possible moves.

Florida Georgia Line is my favourite country music band. Headliners Tyler Hubbard and Brian Kelley are those people that could make anyone sing along with them. That's why I like to attend their concerts. And - that's surprisingly beatiful - in 2019 they have CAN'T SAY IT AIN'T COUNTRY TOUR which covers all the US cities and towns. For tickets info visit Florida Georgia Line Concerts.

Breaking Benjamin is my favourite band of 90s. Breaking Benjamin had so many hit songs! The ones I remember are 'The Diary of Jane', 'Tourniquet' and, of course their hit 'So Cold'. These are real songs, not fake like today! And it is awesome that they have a tour in 2019! And I'm going to attend Breaking Benjamin concert in 2019. The concert dates is here: breakingbenjaminconcerts.com. Check it out and maybe we can even visit one of the concerts together!
