Well, the Yankees have just signed prized Japanese pitcher Masahiro Tanaka for a whopping $155 mill over 7 years. Coming from a smaller market team fan base this spending is . I know it doesn't guarantee a championship but it certainly does help to have the best players. Which brings me to ask... Should there be a salary cap in baseball? Your thoughts below...

I would have to say there should be a salary cap in baseball. I think it does even the playing field for all teams. However, as you stated, spending the money doesnt always guarantee a championship, but it certainly puts you in a great position. Even with a salary cap, you will always have teams that will be bottom feeders. The Tampa Bay Rays have proven that you dont need a big payroll to compete.

I don't really care either way, but if a team wants to give a guy a billion dollars of their money, then they should have that right. Gotta spend money to make money
