I am about to say something that I never thought I would ever say. The University of Kentucky has the #1 rated recruiting class in the country, according to rivals.com.
Put down your drink and rub your eyes. I am going to say this again. UK has the #1 recruiting class in the country.
The question is, with signing day not until February, will UK keep a majority of their recruits? UK will not have a good season this year. Will their recruits stay committed to the program?

I think they will stay. UK football is being marketted as an up and coming program in an elite division. These players will have a chance to come in and play right away instead of waiting behind other #1 recruits from the year before or year before that... or year before that, as is the case with other already big name programs. If a player wants to make a name for themself, I think UK could be a great opportunity.

I definitely agree with both. There is a solid chance that UK can be a contender...I dont think they will ever win a National Championship but I can see them being a very solid, contending program.

i would agree that right now on paper, they will be a good contender when the recruits come in, but, when they actually come in and play on the field thats another story. Just because a recruit is 4-5 stars doesnt mean he will transition well playing wise from high school to college level. Along with uk, there are 3 other sec teams that are in the top 5 in recruiting - Tenn, TA&M, Bama.

Very well said my friend. The SEC will always get their recruits but it is definitely saying something when the SEC's crappiest program is snagging 4 star recruits from Ohio. The Big 10 should be worried.
