There was a very interesting snippet in the Enquirer this morning regarding possibly moving UC basketball to US Bank Arena. I am all for that move. Fifth Third Arena is just not cutting it. US Bank Arena downtown would be a perfect fit. The story is here (a couple of paragraphs down): cincinnati.com/blogs/daugherty/2013/06/20/the-morning-line-620-move-uc-basketball-downtown/If UC were to make the move, would you be more willing to attend a UC game? I am curious on your thoughts on the potential move.

I think the move would be awesome. With the improvement of Downtown (especially the Banks area), this will make UC basketball games more of an even then just a game. It would give the downtown area 3 sports instead of just baseball and football. Now don't get me wrong I love Clifton, and College Sports should be played on or as close to campus as possible. But if you look at Kentucky, they play their College Basketball games at their downtown arena and the area around there has just exploded. Now US bank isn't the perfect arena, it needs some upgrades. I think if they can renovate and add boxes, then it would turn into a pretty cool place to watch a game.

I think the move to US Bank Arena is a must for UC. The arena would be renovated to NCAA standards and that will help in so many ways. They would be able to host NCAA tournament games. That would be a big economic boost for the university and city.
I truly don't see a downfall to the move.

The only downfall is that it looses the Nastaliga of playing games on campus, and the economic impact on local business that will loose out on the extra income from fans of the games coming up to clifton.
